You know the Re-Up Gang, we promise you this. The Re-Up Gang is Clipse, of Lord Willin’ and We Got It For Cheap fame, and a few of their crew. They pick up where Clipse leaves off, rapping about dealing coke and working the street.
That limited scope would lead one to believe that there is little room for innovation within their music, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Each song is fresh and original, filled with wicked wordplay and beats that make you take a step back and say, “Damn, that’s crazy.”
For an album that’s stellar all the way through, there are certainly highlights. The opening track, Re-Up Gang is heavy-hitting with subtle disses at Lil’ Wayne, and 20k Money Making Brothers On The Corner is a coke track at its finest, filled with shit talking and a beat that can’t possibly be described with words.
