Let’s face it – this here’s a damn good paper. Where else on campus can you find a publication that will tell you about Gossip Girl (Bloomington’s own, not the show), the best bartenders around town, and let you do a maze, all in the same paper? Nowhere else, and that’s a fact.
Here’s the problem: due to the bureaucracy of this little town of ours, it’s getting tougher and tougher for us to get our paper into the hands of everyone who loves us (and come on, you know you do). Sometimes House Moms will sit on the front step, shaking their heads at us as we walk up with papers. Occasionally that chick who puts cheese on your tacos at a certain food place will wait until we finish dropping off papers and throw away every copy because she doesn’t like that we make fun of Uggs (sorry if you’re wearing a pair right now, but they are seriously hideous). And once in a while, some student groups on campus with too much time on their hands will go harass local business owners, because well, they got offended that we said the word ‘fat.’
So the question is, how do we solve this problem? How do we make sure that you, the party-seeking students of IU have a way of reading the best damn paper in town? It’s simple. WE GOTS TO GO DIGITAL!!
Exactly what does that mean? Well, rather than trekking through the cold to find a copy of our paper in a newspaper bin, you just sign up for a daily email. It’s that simple. Either check out theboozenews.com (yes, that was a shameless plug), and sign up, or just email us your email address at daily@theboozenews.com and we’ll take care of you. Every day (if you want it every day), you’ll receive new content, party pictures, bar specials, interviews, alcohol reviews, drinking games, and a whole lot more. So now, instead of taking notes in class, you can just read about the best parties leading up to Lil 5 (because obviously we should be the ones to tell you).
So that’s it. In an effort to save some trees and bring our content straight to your computers, we’ll no longer be printing paper issues anymore. We will, however, have the one of the most entertaining (notice we didn’t say graphically pleasing) websites around, and the best daily email you have ever seen. Don’t believe us? Just give us a shot…have we ever steered you wrong?
Yo, I do graphic design if ya'll wanna spice your page up a bit. noahwoodland@gmail.com
that's swell and all, but where exactly is the first digital issue? and the party pics? and the bar map?
